A family-owned and operated Ramen noodle restaurant often voted as one of the best eateries in Baltimore is expanding by opening a new location in Bethesda.

Ejji Ramen, which opened in 2014 at the Belvedere Square market in North Baltimore, will open a second location Oct. 11 in the dining terrace at Westfield Montgomery mall in Bethesda, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The fast-casual restaurant will offer an abbreviated menu of its Baltimore location.

Chef and partner Ten Vong said Wednesday four noodle dishes using broths that take 36 hours to create and two appetizers will be featured on the menu. Patrons will have the option to build their own noodle bowls from a variety of broths, proteins, vegetables and sauces. Menu items will change seasonally.

“Every day, we create our food from scratch. We use only hormone-free, antibiotic-free meats; seasonal vegetables fresh from the market; and our favorite spices and exotic seasonings,” the Ejji Ramen website states.

Hours of operation for the Bethesda location at 7101 Democracy Blvd. will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
