Developers plan to hold a meeting in late January to unveil details about a project on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda that will include apartments and retail space.

At 7820 Wisconsin Ave., the proposed project will include a mixed-use building with 14,750 square feet of ground floor retail and up to 450 apartments, according to a message sent to neighbors of the property.

The project would total about 455,000 square feet of development.

The proposed development would be on the site of the 7-Eleven and EagleBank properties in downtown Bethesda.

The two developers leading the project — Bethesda Land LLC and Bethmont LLC — did not provide more information in their notice. Projects usually are discussed in more detail at a community meeting before the plans are submitted to the Planning Board for review.

A community meeting about the new plans will be held virtually at 7 p.m. on Jan. 25.

Previous plans, filed in 2017, called for a roughly 314-foot-tall building with up to 300 apartments and 8,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. At the time, developers planned to designate at least one quarter of the units as affordable housing.
