‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Charged with Assault
Monique Samuels is due to appear in court Dec. 23
Monique Samuels, a star of the reality television show “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” was charged last week with second-degree assault, according to Montgomery County court records.
Samuels, 36, received a summons last Thursday and is due to appear in district court on Dec. 23, according to the state court database. Attorney information was not listed as of Monday morning.
Candiace Dillard Bassett, a co star of the series, was listed in the court record as the complainant. No additional details were available as of Monday.
The state’s attorney’s office could not be reached Monday morning. The state court system was closed Monday for Veterans Day.
News of Samuels’ court appearance was first reported by Fox 5.
The reality series follows the lives of several women living in Potomac. Last month, a crew filmed for the show at Henry’s Sweet Retreat in Bethesda.
