Montgomery County reports 107 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday
County adds one confirmed death; new total is 824
Montgomery County reported 107 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing its total to 24,984. The increase is 0.43%.
Saturday marks the fourth consecutive day the county has recorded 100 or more new COVID-19 cases.
One new confirmed death was reported. There have been 824 confirmed coronavirus deaths in Montgomery County, according to Maryland Department of Health data.
There have been an additional 40 “probable” deaths, meaning COVID-19 is listed as the cause of death but it was not confirmed by a laboratory test.
In Maryland, there have been 139,487 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 3,945 confirmed deaths.
More than 3.2 million tests have been conducted in the state, with a positivity rate of 3.04%.
