Montgomery County COVID-19 cases increase by 0.31% in one day

No new confirmed deaths recorded Wednesday

COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County rose by 0.31% on Wednesday, according to the Maryland Department of Health.

The county added 69 cases, for a new total of 22,002.

The county did not add any confirmed deaths on Wednesday, keeping the total at 801.

There have been 40 “probable” deaths from the virus. “Probable” deaths have the coronavirus listed as the cause of death on certificates but have not been confirmed by laboratory tests yet.

The County Council on Tuesday loosened restrictions on indoor and outdoor religious gatherings.

Across Maryland as of Wednesday morning, there have been 121,297 COVID-19 cases — an increase of 0.32% from Tuesday. There have been 3,756 confirmed deaths statewide.
