COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County rise by 107 in one day
One new death was recorded in the county on Friday
Montgomery County recorded 107 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday to bring its total to 22,185 — an increase of 0.48%.
The county added one new confirmed death from the virus on Friday, for a new total to 802. No new confirmed COVID-19 deaths had been recorded in the county since Tuesday, according to the Maryland Department of Health.
There also have been 40 “probable” deaths from the virus. “Probable” deaths have the coronavirus listed as the cause of death on certificates but have not been confirmed by laboratory tests yet.
Across the state, the caseload rose to 122,359 confirmed cases as of Friday, an increase of 0.46% from the previous day.
There have been 3,772 confirmed deaths from the virus across Maryland.
