County’s COVID-19 cases increase by 92 since Tuesday

No new deaths reported from virus since Monday

Montgomery County’s known COVID-19 cases increased by 92 — or 0.4% — on Wednesday, bringing the total the county has had to 21,467.

According to data the Maryland Department of Health released Wednesday morning, there have been no new confirmed deaths in the county since Monday. The county’s death toll is at 795.

There have also been 40 “probable” deaths from the virus. “Probable” deaths have the coronavirus listed as the cause of death on certificates but have not been confirmed by laboratory tests yet.

Across the state, known cases increased by 643 — or 0.6% — overnight. There have been 117,888 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the state.

There have been 3,712 confirmed deaths from the virus in Maryland.
