County’s COVID-19 cases increase by 90 since Friday

Two new confirmed deaths from virus in Montgomery

Montgomery County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 90 cases — or 0.4% — since Friday, bringing the county’s total number of cases to 22,275.

On Saturday morning, the Maryland Department of Health also reported two new confirmed county deaths from the virus. The county’s death toll is now at 804.

There have been 40 “probable” deaths from the virus. “Probable” deaths have the coronavirus listed as the cause of death on certificates but have not been confirmed by laboratory tests.

Across the state, known cases increased by 613 cases — or 0.5% — overnight. The state has now had 122,972 known cases.

In Maryland, 3,780 people who have died from the virus.
