Sales gallery open at Chevy Chase Lake condominium building
Greenbelt developer Bozzuto announced this week that the sales gallery is now open at the Ritz-Carlton Residences — a 65-unit condominium building expected to be finished this year in the new Chevy Chase Lake development.
The gallery is at 8401 Connecticut Ave., Suite 111, and is open by making an appointment online, according to a press release. The gallery features a full-scale model home, simulated 3D immersion of the building and scale model of the Chevy Chase Lake community.
More than 150 appointments have been booked through the end of this month, Kerri Paulino, Bozzuto’s vice president of homebuilding operations wrote in an email.
Bozzuto announced last year that it was developing the Ritz-Carlton condominium building.
The first phase of Chevy Chase Lake, scheduled to be finished this year, will include 100,000 square feet of retail and grocery space, one acre of outdoor space and three residential buildings, according to the press release.
Silver Spring oncology practice joins national network
Greater Washington Oncology Associates, a practice based in Silver Spring, announced on Monday that it has joined the American Oncology Network — a network of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants in 16 states.
Greater Washington Oncology Associates has four medical oncologists/hematologists and one nurse practitioner who work with patients diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders, according to a press release.
The practice’s headquarters is in Silver Spring. There are satellite offices in Rockville, Germantown and Washington, D.C.
Dr. Ram S. Trehan, a medical oncologist with the practice, said in the press release that the partnership with the network will help “deliver even better care to our patients with added services such as a centralized clinical laboratory and pathology and an oral oncolytic pharmacy with home delivery.”
The oncology network launched in 2018. It provides services that include “centralized specialty pharmacy, diagnostics, pathology, fully integrated electronic medical records, a care management team and a variety of financial assistance programs.”
Lidl grocery store now open in Glenmont area
The grocery store chain Lidl has opened at 2201 Randolph Road in the Glenmont area, replacing the former Shoppers grocery store that occupied the space.
Lidl, a grocery store chain based in Arlington, Va., announced that it would be taking over the space. That followed an announcement by Shoppers’ parent company, United Natural Foods, that it would be closing 12 stores across Maryland.
Lidl posted on its Facebook page that the Glenmont store opened on Feb. 24 — one of four new stores around the country to open that day.
Lidl also opened a store in Takoma Park late last year, and another is planned for Montgomery Village.
