Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath helped raise more than $5,000 for Girls, Inc. of the Metropolitan Washington Area, at an event on Sept. 24. JGKB, its partners and suppliers  donated goods for a silent auction that included Wolf and Miele appliances, a week’s vacation at Bethany Beach, a gourmet dinner at the Miele showroom, and more.

Girls, Inc., inspires girls to be strong, smart and bold through programs that provide structured academic and social activities in a safe and supportive atmosphere where girls can grow and thrive. The event was held at Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath showroom in Chevy Chase.

Jomaira Salas, currently a PhD Student at Rutgers, spoke of the support Girls, Inc., provided her entire family. Girls Inc. recommended Jomaira for a scholarship to study at Bryn Mawr and later study abroad. She remains active in supporting Girls Inc., and the positive impact it has had on her family.
