A Wider Circle
A Wider Circle turns empty apartments into fully furnished homes, enabling low-income children and adults to take the next steps in their journeys out of poverty.
In 2010, A Wider Circle served about 12,000 people in the region, providing life skills training to children and adults and furnishing about 2,700 homes in the county.

What a donation buys:
• $250 allows A Wider Circle to provide beds, dressers and basic-need items for eight local children and adults.
• $1,000 provides cribs and essential baby items for 30 young, low-income mothers.
• $10,000 fuels A Wider Circle’s pick-up and drop-off trucks for six months.
Volunteer opportunities: (SSL)
• One day: Anyone aged 16+ can collect furniture.
• Weekly: Answer calls from families seeking support and help schedule pick-up times for those looking to make donations.
• On occasion: Go out on the truck, organize showrooms or work as a resource specialist, helping families identify additional community support services.
