County adds new bikeshare stations in North Bethesda

Metro board chair says no one will notice Uber tax in D.C.

Metro board Chairman Jack Evans said that “no one will notice” an additional 35 cent tax on a $10 Uber or Lyft ride if the District finalizes a tax on ride-sharing companies to provide additional funding for Metro. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is expected to sign the legislation Friday that would create the new levy. [NBC4]

Two Montgomery County marijuana dispensaries granted final approval from state commission

The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission granted final approval for seven new medical marijuana dispensaries this week, including two in Montgomery County. Rise Bethesda and HerbaFi in Silver Spring both received their final approvals. [Baltimore Sun]

Get ready for 80-degree weather Friday

The National Weather Service expects a high near 83 degrees Friday on a sunny day, with a nighttime low around 60. The weekend should be very nice as well, with a sunny high near 80 predicted Saturday and a high near 74 Sunday, when there’s a chance of afternoon showers.
