Updated 9:35 a.m. Nov. 8: Montgomery County police say a man called 911 Tuesday morning to report he had killed his girlfriend, leading police to locate her body in their Silver Spring home.

Anthony Miguel Strong, 50, called at 6:48 a.m. and said he was outside his house on the 11000 block of Bradbury Manor Court in the White Oak area, according to police. Police took him into custody and found the body of a 43-year-old woman inside the house.

Police identified her as Chaunya Michalyn Blackwell and said she and Strong were dating.

Strong was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder, according to court records.

Both lived at the address, police spokeswoman Sgt. Rebecca Innocenti said.

There were signs of trauma on Blackwell's body, and police wrote in a press release that they were investigating the incident as a domestic-related homicide.

Blackwell’s body has been taken to the office of the chief medical examiner in Baltimore to determine the cause of her death.

Police have asked anyone with information about the homicide to call 240-773-5070.
