Man Taken To Hospital After Car and Bicycle Crash in Potomac Area
Crash happened Monday afternoon near Travilah Elementary School
A man was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a car and a bicycle in the Travilah area Monday afternoon, officials said.
The adult man was considered a priority 2 trauma patient, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer said. Rescue crews consider priority 1 to be the most serious injuries and priority 3 to be the least serious.
The crash occurred at the 13800 block of Dufief Mill Road near Travilah Elementary School at about 2:30 p.m., Piringer said.
Montgomery County police are investigating the crash, said Officer Rick Goodale, a spokesman for the department.
Goodale and Piringer did not know if the man was the bicyclist or whether the car struck the bike.
