Fourth man arrested in killing of two teens before their graduation

Police announced they arrested Rony Alexander Galicia, 25, of Germantown for his alleged involvement in the killing of two teens parked in a vehicle in Montgomery Village on June 5.  Three others were previously charged in the killing of Shadi Najjar, 17, and Artem Ziberov, 18, who were scheduled to graduate from high school the next day. Coffee shop to open at Core apartments in Silver Spring

PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans plans to open its first Maryland location in the ground floor of the Core apartment building at 8621 Georgia Ave. The chain has about 90 locations in Louisiana, and is in the process of expanding to other parts of the country. 10 students injured in pepper spray incident

Seneca Valley High School in Germantown was partially evacuated Monday afternoon due to pepper spray being released. Ten students and three staff were taken to a hospital for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries after the incident. [NBC4]

Hogan expected to release plan to fight Baltimore crime Tuesday

Gov. Larry Hogan has scheduled a 2 p.m. press conference today, when he’s expected to announce a package of proposals to try to curb ongoing violence in Baltimore. The number of homicides in the city this year is more than 300 for the third straight year. [Baltimore Sun]

Showers expected Tuesday

Rain is expected to begin falling around 4 p.m. today and continue into the evening, according to the National Weather Service. A high near 63 degrees is predicted followed by a nighttime low around 40.
