The co-owner of Bethesda-based alcohol retailer Total Wine & More will host President Obama at his Potomac home Wednesday for a Democratic National Committee fundraiser.

David Trone, a frequent contributor to the Democratic party, is hosting the event at his home near MacArthur Boulevard.

About 350 people are expected to attend. One of the event’s organizers told Bethesda Beat there will be a reception during which Obama will make comments, followed by a private dinner with the president.

The reception requires contributions of at least $500 per person. The dinner costs $5,000 per person or $20,000 per couple.

Trone hosted a fundraiser for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Anthony Brown last year at his home. The event included an appearance by former President Bill Clinton and raised almost $1 million for Brown’s campaign.
