No. 82 Steak Out closed Saturday in Rockville.
The no frills steakhouse and Italian restaurant that received favorable reviews while it was open celebrated its last night Jan. 16. The restaurant was owned by Shelly Galloway and Anna Don, both of whom had previous restaurant experience.
Don said in an email Thursday that the restaurant closed as many restaurants do, because of “too many bills; not enough income.”
The closure follows several other restaurant closures at the Federal Realty development in 2014. Last year, Pho & Rolls, Cosi, Oro Pomodoro, Carbón Peruvian Grill and Taste of Saigon all closed at the town center.
However, it’s not all gloom and doom there. Renowned Chinese chef Peter Chang is planning to open a new restaurant at the former location of Taste of Saigon, possibly as early as next month.
No. 82 Steak Out was located in Suite C, 101 Gibbs St.
