Crave, a restaurant that specializes in sushi, wine and American cuisine, is the latest eating establishment to announce plans to be part of Westfield Montgomery mall’s new Dining Terrace.
Bethesda will be the first venture into the Mid-Atlantic region for Crave, which has nine locations in the Midwest, Florida and Texas.
Crave opened its first restaurant in Minnesota in 2007, later expanding to Omaha, Neb., Orlando, Fla., and Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2011, the restaurant was named the fastest-growing private company in Minneapolis and St. Paul by the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal.
Crave restaurants feature open layouts, a sushi bar and a wine tower, according to Westfield’s press release.
The Crave in Minneapolis has a dinner menu that includes American favorites such as hamburgers ($12.95), baked mac and cheese ($16.95) and a grilled rib-eye with buttermilk mashed potatoes ($29.95). The sushi menu boasts a variety of specialty and vegetarian rolls priced from $4 to $20, the highest for the “Chipotle Ocean,” which includes soft-shell crab, yellowtail and chipotle mayo.
The restaurant is scheduled to open this fall on the lower level of the Dining Terrace near Bobby’s Burger Palace and The Cheesecake Factory. MET Bethesda is also scheduled to open at the mall this fall. Blaze Pizza is scheduled to open this summer.
