Four suspects have been arrested in association with an alleged organized retail theft ring that struck Montgomery County retailers, including a theft of $10,000 worth of merchandise from a Lululemon store, according to Gaithersburg City police.

Mone Herndon, 26; Shawn Stewart, 26; Precious Spivey, 18 and an unnamed 17-year-old face felony theft-related charges, police said. All four suspects are Washington, D.C., residents. The three adults were transported to the Montgomery County Detention Center in Rockville and the 17-year-old was released to her parents. The three adults were released on bond, according to state court records.

The four suspects were apprehended Wednesday by police with the cooperation of the Lululemon store in the Downtown Crown shopping center in Gaithersburg, police said in a news release. Police have been working with store management to address ongoing theft in the store, according to the release.

Police were monitoring the store around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday when officers observed four females enter the store, split up, and each “bearhug” multiple items without paying, according to the release. One suspect was apprehended at the door, and the others were apprehended at the nearby Harris Teeter store on Copley Avenue. The four suspects had collectively stolen more than $10,000 worth of Lululemon merchandise after entering the store, according to police.
