Man sentenced to 12 years for possession of more than 2,000 fentanyl pills

A Silver Spring man pleaded guilty to possession of a large amount of fentanyl and was sentenced to 32 years in prison, with all but 12 years suspended after police found more than 2,000 fentanyl pills. He will have to serve five years of supervised probation after he’s released. [DC News Now

Violent assault at Walt Whitman High School recorded by other students 

A “physical altercation” involving several students occurred and was recorded on Monday, according to a letter to the high school community from Principal Gregory Miller. The assault is being investigated. [Montgomery County Media
