Three men arrested for New Year’s Day car theft

Three men have been arrested for their involvement in a Silver Spring car theft that took place on New Year’s Day. Russell Bowie Jr., 32, of Silver Spring; Momodou Samba, 26, of Rockville; and Phillip Laguerre, 34, of Rockville were arrested and charged for the theft of a Toyota RAV4. [DC News Now]

Silver Spring man facing firearms charges

Kofi Aidoo, 32, of Silver Spring has been arrested on firearms-related charges, including prohibited possession of a firearm. Aidoo is accused of allegedly stealing a handgun from a gun range in Prince George’s County. The investigation involved officers from police departments in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. [Montgomery Community Media]
