José Andrés, who served as a volunteer co-chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition during the Biden administration, was “fired” Monday by President Donald Trump in a social media post. The Bethesda chef responded that he had already resigned and his two-year term was up, adding “May God give you the wisdom, Mr. President, to put politics and name calling aside … and instead lift up the everyday people working to bring America together.
