Silver Spring man facing murder charges in shooting death of Germantown man

Jaiden Thomas, 20, of Silver Spring was arrested and charged with first and second-degree murder in the Dec. 15 shooting death of Germantown’s Rasheed Davis, 18, according to a Wednesday  announcement from the Prince George’s County police. The shooting occurred in the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt and a second man remains in critical condition at an area hospital as of Wednesday, police said. (7News)

A Rockville mother personifies the ‘SNAP Gap’ struggle

In August, Montgomery County and Instacart launched a voucher program to fight food insecurity among residents who make too much to qualify for SNAP benefits, but still face significant financial struggles. Bethesda’s iLearningEngines Inc. files for bankruptcy

A Bethesda-based software company that had a valuation of more than $1 billion when it went public earlier this year, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Friday. The company, iLearningEngines, is also being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission. (Washington Business Journal)
