A Gaithersburg father-son duo is seeing increasing success with their potato chip business, which will expand to be sold in all Giant Food grocery stores, adding more than 160 locations to where the chips are sold. The brand, My Dad’s Chips, is currently sold at local businesses and in Food Lion, Wegmans and ShopRite stores across the country, as far north as Maine and as far south as Georgia. [WTOP]

Sgt. Kepp honored for policing drunken driving

Montgomery County police Sgt. Patrick Kepp was honored by the Washington Regional Alcohol Program on Thursday for arresting 81 suspected drunken drivers in 2023 – more than any other county officer. Kepp lost his legs after a speeding driver allegedly intentionally hit him in October 2023. [NBC 4]

Ride On bus service sees 20% increase in ridership

Ride On bus ridership is up 20% from the previous fiscal year, according to the Montgomery County Department of Transportation. The Ride On system provided over 18.5 million rides during fiscal year 2025, transporting more than 58,000 riders each weekday and seeing an overall increase in weekday ridership.
