Bethesda’s Marriott International buys tiny cabins for new brand

Marriott International, headquartered in downtown Bethesda, has purchased Postcard Cabins, a company that specializes in tiny cabins in rural areas not too far from major metropolitan areas. The purchase is part of the global hotel company’s plan to launch an outdoor brand. [Washington Business Journal]

Two escape Rockville house fire

Two people escaped Saturday from a basement fire in a Rockville home, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service. Crews responded around 2:30 p.m. to the single-family home in the 4500 block of Randolph Road near Charles Road. [DC News Now]
