Senior living tower next step for North Bethesda’s Strathmore Square

Man extradited to MoCo after allegedly shooting wife in Silver Spring in 1997

Twenty-four years after fleeing the country amid accusations that he shot his wife, a man was arrested in El Salvador and has been extradited to Montgomery County, according to county police.

Jose Mauricio Rivera, 58, was extradited to the county on Thursday and faces second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault charges in the 1997 shooting in Silver Spring, police said. [WTOP]
