Prime Coffee & Bakery has joined the plethora of cafes and coffee shops in downtown Silver Spring, celebrating its grand opening Friday, according to a social media post from the shop.
The eatery at 930 Thayer Ave. opened in November, according to Source of the Spring, which first reported the grand opening plans.
In addition to a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, Prime Coffee & Bakery also serves breakfast and lunch dishes. Those include avocado toast, egg and cheese sandwiches, omelets, soups and salads. In addition, patrons can purchase a variety of pastries and desserts including cakes, cupcakes, eclairs and croissants.
The shop is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and offers indoor seating.
Prime Coffee & Bakery joins several other coffee shops and cafés in the downtown Silver Spring area such as Kaldi’s, Java Nation, the Black Lion, Bump ‘n Grind and Kefa Café.
