Montgomery County police are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Greene Turtle restaurant in downtown Olney, according to police and radio transmissions.
Officers responded at about 4:44 p.m. for a report of a shooting in the 18000 block of Town Center Drive, police said Tuesday night in an email.
The shooting “appears to be possibly self-inflicted,” police said. “The individual has been transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.”
A dispatcher reported that a man called to say he had shot himself in the stomach, according to radio transmissions. “The caller is not responding,” the dispatcher later said.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews were dispatched to the scene, according to radio transmissions.
