Three Montgomery County restaurants will join more than 100 eateries and bars in the region that will be participating in the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s D.C. Cocktail Week starting Friday.
Cocktail week will run through Dec. 5, which marks the 91st anniversary of the congressional repeal of Prohibition, the restaurant association noted in a press release. On Dec. 5, 1933, the U.S. Congress ratified the 21st Amendment to repeal the 18th Amendment, which instituted a nationwide ban on the manufacture, sale and transportation of alcohol.
During cocktail week, participating eateries will provide craft cocktails paired with small plates, according to the restaurant association’s press release. Check out the full list of locations at this link.
