WSSC Water unveiled its new $271 million Piscataway bioenergy facility that converts sewage waste into clean water and natural gas on Wednesday. Montgomery County plans to use natural gas derived from the biosolids, or poop, in the wastewater to power its Ride On buses. The facility is located in Accokeek in Prince George’s County. [WTOP]

Olney’s Field of Screams once again attracts thousands of thrill seekers

Field of Screams, a haunted Halloween attraction in Olney, is nearing the end of its 23rd season of scaring people. Tens of thousands of guests flock annually to the chilling complex that boasts an outdoor lounge area with fire pits and two spine-tingling experiences complete with costumed actors. Former MCPS teacher pleads guilty to theft from Rockville dance studio

A former Montgomery County Public Schools teacher pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing more than $100,000 from a dance studio in Rockville. Erin Kelly, 41, of Rockville taught at Odessa Shannon Middle School and has been on leave. Kelly faces up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. [Montgomery Community Media]
