Face of the Week

Eight Halloween-themed cocktails are available at The Dish & Dram, an American gastropub, in Kensington. The cocktails are named after and inspired by horror movies, according to manager Debby Augenbaum.

The cocktails include the Alien Blood, a bright yellow drink with mezcal, Mexican Mole, melon, pineapple and lime juice with a black salt rim; the Black Swan Dive, an espresso martini made with scotch and cocoa bitters; the Blair Apple Project, a tequila drink that features apple butter and lime juice; and the Texas Chainsaw Massa-carrots, a sazerac rye whiskey drink mixed with amaro that comes with a candied carrot.

Augenbaum said the cocktails will likely stay on the menu for about a week after Halloween or until the restaurant puts together its new cocktail list.
