The three right lanes of southbound I-270 just past Exit 11 at Quince Orchard Road/MD 124 are closed late Tuesday afternoon after a multi-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer, according to authorities.
Only one traffic lane remains open and drivers are advised to seek alternate routes, according to Alert Montgomery.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews responded to the scene and were cleaning up fuel that had leaked from a ruptured saddle tank on the tractor-trailer, spokesman Pete Piringer wrote on social media shortly before 5 p.m.
No information was provided about whether anyone was injured in the collision.
