A Montgomery County Circuit Court judge denied a motion to vacate the six murder convictions for D.C. sniper Lee Boyd Malvo, who was back in court Tuesday. Malvo’s resentencing, based on the Supreme Court’s 2012 ruling that children can’t be sentenced to life without parole unless a judge considers their actions were a result of “transient immaturity,” was also postponed indefinitely. New, temporary Amtrak route from Chicago to Miami will stop in Rockville
Amtrak’s newest route connecting Chicago and Miami in a 47-hour journey will have a stop at the Rockville Amtrak/MARC/Metro Station. The route, dubbed the “Floridian,” launches on Nov. 10. [Newsweek]
