Montgomery County detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man in Gaithersburg on Sunday, according to police.

At roughly 11:24 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 18500 block of Boysenberry Drive, police said Tuesday in a statement. Officers found Antoine Lavale Parker inside his apartment suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers also had responded to a report of gunshots in the same apartment complex shortly before 5 a.m., but didn’t locate a crime scene at that time, according to the statement.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore performed an autopsy Monday and Parker’s death was ruled a homicide, the statement said.
