Lee Boyd Malvo, who killed 10 people in a fatal shooting spree in the Washington area in 2002, has been transferred out of the maximum security prison in Virginia where he has spent the past 22 years. Malvo is now at a “security level 4” prison in Oakwood, Virginia. [WTOP]

Opening date set for MOM’s downtown Silver Spring location

MOM’s Organic Market, a local chain grocery store, has announced that its latest location at 8789 Georgia Ave. in downtown Silver Spring will hold a grand opening celebration the weekend of Sept. 20-23. 12-year-old suspected serial car thief allegedly strikes again

A 12-year-old Washington, D.C., boy suspected of stealing cars and breaking into high-end dealerships, including some in Montgomery County, was found Sunday night by University of Maryland police to allegedly be in possession of a key fob belonging to a black Tesla from a Montgomery County dealership.
