Maryland State police are investigating an attempted robbery and assault of a flower vendor on a Beltway ramp from I-495 East to Route 650 South in Silver Spring. On Sunday afternoon, the vendor was injured after she was briefly dragged by an SUV after its driver called her over while stopped in traffic, then grabbed her purse and drove away. Indecent exposure incidents reported in Sligo Creek Park

About a half dozen indecent exposure incidents appearing to involve the same tall man have been reported in Sligo Creek Park the Takoma Park area, leading the Maryland National Capital Park police to warn trail users to be on the lookout and to report suspicious activity. [NBC4]

Choice Hotels installs beehives at North Bethesda headquarters

Choice Hotels has installed three beehives at its Pike & Rose headquarters in North Bethesda that are expected to produce honey that will be provided free to employees. The company partnered with Bee Downtown, a business that provided the hives and will maintain them. [WTOP]
