Montgomery County firefighters rescued two dogs from a garage fire in a Damascus townhome Tuesday night and transported them to a Rockville animal hospital, according to officials.

At approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews were dispatched to the 10400 block of Ridge Landing Place for a report of a garage fire in the middle home of a row of townhouses, MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos wrote on social media.

All occupants were out of the house, but two dogs were still inside. Crews extinguished the fire, which had no extension to other parts of the home. No occupants were injured, Pazos said.
