Police identify motorcyclist killed in Silver Spring collision

Incident occurred Saturday in area of Columbia Pike and Lockwood Drive

Montgomery County police have identified Christian Ronaldo Guillen, 30, of Silver Spring as the man who was killed while riding his motorcycle Saturday evening on Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring.

Officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Lockwood Drive and Columbia Pike, police said Monday afternoon in a statement.

According to an investigation, Guillen was riding a black 1998 Honda CBR600 motorcycle northbound on Columbia Pike when he made a right turn onto Lockwood Drive. The motorcycle then left the roadway and struck a metal light support pole, and Guillen was ejected, the statement said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Detectives continue to investigate the collision and ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call 240-773-6620.
