A man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Silver Spring, according to authorities.
Montgomery County police and fire and rescue crews responded around 9 p.m. to a report of a man struck by a vehicle while crossing University Boulevard at the intersection with Langley Drive, police said Saturday night in a statement.
The man, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Police are investigating the collision and will identify the man who was killed following proper notification of next of kin, the statement said.
