Truck hits Beltway bridge support near River Road; one injured

Traffic was delayed for hours Sunday morning and one person was injured when a truck struck a bridge support beam under River Road in Bethesda on the Inner Loop of the BeItway, according to authorities. The person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries in the incident; the truck also struck a sedan. [WTOP]

Rockville gaming company workers vote to unionize

Workers at Bethesda Gan Studios in Rockville have voted to unionize, joining the Communications Workers of America. The company has produced award-winning games such as “Skyrim” and the “Fallout” series. [DC News Now]

Certifications revoked for than a dozen teen lifeguards

The American Red Cross confirmed that 25 teenage lifeguards who were certified at a two-day Bethesda training session have had their certification revoked after the Red Cross determined they received inadequate training. The training was held April 6 at the Kenwood Country Club. [Fox 5]
