A 5-year-old girl was hit and pinned Friday afternoon by a vehicle exiting a driveway in Takoma Park, but was ultimately freed around 5 p.m., according to local police radio transmissions.
Takoma Park police received a call around 5 p.m. reporting that a young girl was struck by a vehicle at 7013 Sycamore Avenue. The child was pinned, but was with family members, the radio transmissions said.
By roughly 5:03, police radio transmissions reported the child was free from the car, conscious and breathing.
According to the transmissions, the child had bruising on her legs, but nothing appeared broken. The daughter and mother were taken to the hospital.
