Montgomery County police have identified Ezekial Solomon, 19, of Silver Spring as the motorcyclist killed Saturday evening in a two-vehicle collision in Bethesda.
Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded around 5 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Tilden Lane for the report of a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a van, police said Monday in a statement.
Detectives investigating the collision determined that Solomon was riding “a black and white 2013 BMW S 1000 RR motorcycle northbound on Old Georgetown Road when he struck a maroon 2018 Honda Odyssey that was traveling south on Old Georgetown Road,” the statement said.
Solomon was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman driving the Honda, who was not identified, was attempting at the time to make a left turn onto eastbound Tilden Lane, according to police. She was not injured in the collision.
Detectives ask anyone with information about the collision to call 240-773-6620.
