A man was killed Saturday evening when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van on northbound Old Georgetown Road at Tilden Lane in Bethesda, according to Montgomery County police.
Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded around 5 p.m. to a report of a collision in the 11500 block of Old Georgetown Road, police said in a statement Saturday night.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The woman driving the van was “uninjured and remained on scene,” the statement said.
The man’s identity will be released following proper notification of next of kin, police said.
Northbound Old Georgetown Road at Tilden Lane was closed while police investigated the collision, police said on social media.
Detectives are investigating and ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call 240-773-6620.
