Montgomery County police are investigating the death of a Boyds man who died Sunday after he was allegedly injured in a June 14 assault.

Officers responding at about 7:30 p.m. June 14 to a report of an assault in the 20200 block of Bucklodge Road in Boyds found an injured Marvin Rolando Guevara Guevara, 40, who allegedly had been hit in the head by a neighbor, police said Monday in a statement.

Guevara Guevara was transported to an area hospital, where he died Sunday, according to police.

Detectives determined Guevara Guevara had argued with a woman “over his dogs running loose in the neighborhood and into her family’s property,” the statement said. “The argument escalated, resulting in the female hitting Guevara Guevara in the head.”

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Guevara Guevara’s death, the statement said.
