Officials say patients evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries

Several patients were evaluated for injuries after a Ride On bus with passengers on board was involved in a collision at 4900 Strathmore Ave. near Stillwater Avenue in Garrett Park on Thursday morning, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) spokesperson Pete Piringer.

Piringer wrote on social media at about 7 a.m. that MCFRS crews were examining several patients with non-life-threatening injuries. Seven units responded to the incident.

The incident closed a portion of Strathmore Avenue between Stillwater and Flanders avenues, according to Piringer.

Piringer could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday morning on the status of the patients.
