Two county establishments made The Washington Post’s list of the top 12 dive bars in the Washington, D.C., area. Silver Spring’s Quarry House Tavern was given fourth place and VFW Post 350 ‘Hell’s Bottom’ in Takoma Park was ranked 11th. [The Washington Post]

Report says some county bus stops aren’t ADA compliant

A new report from the Montgomery County Office of the Inspector General found that several of the county’s 5,400 bus stops are not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The report also criticized the Department of Transportation’s Transit Services Programs for improperly dispersing funds. [Montgomery Community Media]
