Open houses planned for Veirs Mill Road bus project

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation is holding in-person and virtual open houses on June 4 and 5 to talk about the proposed Veirs Mill Road Flash Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project.

Historical marker in Wheaton honors civil rights heroes

The Montgomery County Planning Department is honoring civil rights leaders Elsie S. Horad and Romeo W. Horad Sr. with a historical marker unveiled Thursday at Wheaton Veterans Park. The married couple helped Black residents buy homes and advocated for integration. [WTOP]
