The Montgomery County Department of Transportation, along with other transportation agencies, has released plans for residents affected by the upcoming closure of the Red Line this summer.
Free shuttle buses, including express service, will travel between the county and Washington, D.C. Additionally bus-only lanes will be added to Georgia Avenue. MARC tickets will also be discounted. (MoCoShow)
Bethesda artist’s work on display at Kennedy Center
Bethesda resident Jacqueline Hoysted’s painting will be in display at the Kennedy Center in the District on June 16.
The painting, which is part of a series called “Girls—Nice Doesn’t Cut it!,” will be featured in a program called “Portraits,” which includes a composition and choreography inspired by Hoysted’s art. (MyMCMedia)
Boy charged with string of 7-Eleven robberies
Montgomery County police announced charges against a minor who has been connected to the armed robbery of a 7-Eleven store in Silver Spring.
Police say the boy robbed the store at knifepoint three times in two weeks in April and May before being arrested by detectives. (WUSA9)
