Seven-mile section of Georgia Avenue to have bus-only lane this summer

Seven miles of Georgia Avenue in Montgomery County running from Glenmont to the Washington, D.C., line will be converted into a bus-only lane this summer. The move is designed to accommodate the scheduled closure of Metro’s Red Line north of Fort Totten, according to WMATA officials. [Washingtonian]

Employees at Potomac’s Glenstone Museum looking to unionize

Workers at Glenstone Museum in Potomac announced last week their intent to unionize to the contemporary art museum’s leadership. According to a letter submitted to management, the employees are seeking “living wages for all workers, healthcare for every employee, including part-time workers, a safer work environment, and increased transparency.” [Hyperallergic]
