An 8-year-old girl was injured Monday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Woodson Avenue in Kensington, according to authorities.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel and county police officers were dispatched to the area of 11226 Woodson Ave. around 3:50 p.m. for a report of a child stuck by a vehicle, according to radio transmissions and an email from police spokesperson Shiera Goff.
The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was alert and conscious, Goff said in the 4:17 p.m. message. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
